A SpongeBob was a perfect fit for this child, but the child uses a portable ventilator and is sun-sensitive. We mounted a tray on the front of the car so the ventilator can ride along, and added a cute canopy. Now the child will have true independent mobility. The rear attachments (guide post for parent-assist; rear head brace; frame for canopy) are built as a separate sub-assembly and attach to the body at three points using only six bolts.

I also adapted a car for a child on a portable ventilator. I used a Ford F150 truck model, that way the vent fit in the back bed of the truck perfectly without having to build anything additional on the car. The truck worked out great! ![IMG_8026|375x500]
